Possessive Language and Spellcasting on the Mind

Feb. 15, 2023 [language] [politics] [memes]

A threshold was crossed once the opinion moulding echelons had succeeded in getting the public to begin referring to “a mask” as “my mask” and “the shots” as “your/my shots”. It’s the same trick pulled as when using “we” when describing an event in order to subtly involve the audience into the hypothetical group. They are not “your” injections. They are the injections sold, using stolen money, to the largest mafia in your geographical area who then try to force the product onto you. So if you want to help push back against this psychopathy, please consider avoiding their possessive terminology. Otherwise you’re participating in the charade just as the opinion moulders desire.

Using their own terminology, whether they had been crafted or commandeered, is also fraught with harm. “jabs”, “quarantine”, “immuno-comprimised”, etc. They are all selected to evoke a certain attitude surrounding these subjects. This linguistic play is not limited to the scamdemic either. Consider “alternative platform”, “ecosystem”, “Digital Rights Management” (Sure, if you like being managed and monetized, then you’ll love DRM!). The wording is carefully selected to frame any argument favorabily toward the various deceptions.

Or when the name of a thing itself represents particular interests. Genericized trademarks also help to solidify incumbent monopolies. Once a branded name becomes the widely used discription of a new class of item, there is basically no chance to later correct the new misnomer. For example, how “Ipad” has come to mean “Tablet” or “Google it” has come to mean “look it up”. It is no wonder nobody can think straight about these topics. They’ve already been using the manipulator’s newspeak without even realizing it.

The purpose of Newspeak was not only to provide a medium of expression for the world-view and mental habits proper to the devotees of Ingsoc, but to make all other modes of thought impossible.
